No Race This Saturday

No race this Saturday for Distinguishable at Emerald Downs. The race drew just three entries, and so it’s back to the original plan and wait for the race on Sunday, May 14.

The May 14 race on Mother’s Day is a $25,000 optional claimer for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and up at 6 furlongs. We need at least five horses to enter to make the race go.

Nice to see several of you out this morning to watch the fillies train. It rained pretty much all morning, and Mike Puhich canceled Distinguishable’s workout due to track condition, but she did jog two miles and continues to train well.

McDove galloped one mile and Sharon Ross has scheduled a workout Friday morning, weather permitting. The forecast is for showers, so it might be touch and go.

I’ll be out Thursday and Friday morning, hope you can join me!

  1. We’ll be there Friday morning, but have to wait to travel until after rush hour, so will likely miss morning workouts. At least we’ll have the thrill of watching the Kentucky Oaks at the track! πŸ™‚
